You are What You Speak

I believe in the power of speaking life over my … well, life. If I want to be better, I imagine it, say it, and say it again with passion. Some people refer to this as prayer, meditation, or affirmations; I refer to them as all of the above.

How does this tie into my product? Well, I make soaps and body scrubs,surprisingly, a lot of people don’t know that lol), from the heart! Sometimes I try my products,and sometimes I don’t because I have that much faith in it (or not that much time/space in the bathroom). Well, I’ve been saying I want to have an amazing product that will imitate a spa feel: aromatherapy, clarity, escape, and an all-around cleansing feeling; and I think I’ve got it.

Today, I had a long day that included the baby running a fever, being without a car for a few hours, having a gig in between all of that, and having to remind myself to take care of myself (food…must.eat.food.). Well, after finally settling down and getting the baby nice and full, calm, and asleep, I grabbed a Winter Bliss Set: Pink Zen scrub, Apple Cinnamon Candle by Ivy Candles, and an Oats and Honey bar, and headed straight to the bathroom. I ignored the dishes, the diapers, and any other duties; I lit candles ran a nice steamy bath, threw some water on my body and began to gently massage the body scrub onto my skin.

Boy, oh boy, I must say that was one of the most soothing experiences I’ve had in quite some time. Although I still had a few things running through my mind, I was often interrupted by the soothing Lemon and Lavender fragrance in the scrub. Followed it all up with a cleansing wash, patted myself dry, and slipped into some warm sleepwear. I then looked myself in the mirror and reminded myself of the things that I desired, with a hint of tough love.

I know it’s odd that I’m sitting at my desk in my pjs typing this, but i HAD to share! The direction of your life is up to you, you are the captain. Your tools may come in the form of work, but remind yourself that it’s temporary and for a greater cause. When all else seems overwhelming and you just don’t know which where to turn, give yourself a break and a treat to a spa experience right in the comfort of your own home with Nature’s Pure Escentials.
