The Story: In the beginning, I would get an occasional male come by my table at fairs asking for something that they could use. Now, this was when a majority of my soaps were cute and pretty and “girly” (whatever that means). I also found ladies coming to my table talking about how “he always uses my soap/body wash.” From there, I did research on one bar that would cleanse both men and women and enhance their love for each other. A big goal, I know, but I found a couple’s massage oil blend that I decided to incorporate into the soap. Of course, I test all of my products first, and this Single Sally didn’t need a companion to know that this soap was more than just for loving others, but really for loving self.
The Escentials:
Activated Bamboo Charcoal: Dating back to the Chinese Ming Dynasty, this “black diamond” was used to filter water for tea and for medicines. It pulls out bacteria, impurities, and toxins from pores and also gently exfoliates the skin.
Kaolin Clay: (Chinese white clay) used in most cosmetic products, kaolin clay is best for soothing and caring for all facial skin types. Has a high content of silica which helps in the regeneration of skin; reduces the production of sebum which is what we see as oily skin.
Essential oil blend of Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli also known as an aphrodisiac blend.
